Mr Honey's Web of Words 
This data base allows you to collect your own dictionary. Click on "COLLECT", enter your searchword follow the instructions and find the results stored in C:\myown. Then click on "MyOwn" and search in your very own dictionary.
1. You choose a searchword
2. You send the searchword to the source

3. You let it work in the unknown
4. You let it come up as a alphabetic list

5. You compare the English part (on the left)
with the German part (on the right)
6. Wherever there is no translation provided
you fill the gap with your imagination.


1. Click F for FIND,
enter a searchword,
hit Return
2. This will take you to the first finding.
3. Use F3 to jump from finding to finding
1. Hit Escape to leave List-mode,
return to Search-mode
2. Ennter another searchword and begin a new search.
1. Reduce the results of your last search
by entering a “-“ (= minus sign), then hit Return.
The colour of the search frame will change.
2. Then enter the word you want to eliminate
in the search, hit Return and come to a new
finding, having the previous finding reduced
by all the lines that contain the second searchword.
1. Enter a “+” character instead of a searchword,
Hit Return.
2. Two input frames for search input will open.
3. Input one searchword, hit return.
4. Enter the second searchword, hit Return.
5. Find all lines that contain either the one or the other
searchword.
If you want to search the last findings,
1. “z” as a searchword for “zoom”,
hit Return.
2. A blue frame will open for input.
3. Enter the searchword to zoom for
And hit Return.
e.g., first search “shop”
zoom with “Geschäft”
This will bring all lines that contain
“shop” as well as “Geschäft”
Your search follows the string you enter
As a searchword.
e.g., if you enter “electr” your search will find all lines
that contain the instring.
It will find electric
electrical
electricity
electronic
electrolytic
electromotive
and many more.
“ put “
Using inverted commas you may
search for separate words as opposed to
instrings in other words.
e.g., “ put ” (there is a space at the beginning
as well as at the end)
will find “put” as a separate word
and leave out combinations such as “input”.

Are found using inverted commas and a Space
At the beginning of the searchword,
e.g., “ in” will find all words beginning with “in”
(The data must have a Space at the beginning
of each line to ensure words at the beginning
of a line are included in the search.
Use inverted commas and a final Space
To find words ending in the search string.
e.g., “ing “ will find words ending in “ing”
A very convenient way of roaming through the language.


1. While in List-mode, hold down the left mouse key
and mark a word.
2. Then copy the word with Ctrl / C
3. Hit Escape to leave List-mode.
4. The cursor appears in the input frame in Search-mode
5. Ctrl / V will enter the previously marked and copied
word as a searchword and start the search without
further clicking.
This is a very fast way of moving around.
